Frequently Asked Questions

Product Development Questions

Clear technical and operational answers regarding engagement stages, manufacturing boundaries, CAD exchange, and remote coordination.

At what stage can YantriX join a product-development project?+

We join hardware programs at whichever stage your engineering currently stands. That includes early concept definition and requirements capture, detailed 3D CAD modeling, prototype failure redesign, subsystem mechatronic integration, or final DFM preparation for manufacturing release.

Can you work from existing CAD or an existing prototype?+

Yes. A significant portion of our work involves reviewing existing CAD geometry, resolving mechanism or clearance issues, optimizing part tolerances, or redesigning prototypes to improve structural rigidity, thermal performance, and manufacturability.

Do you support both mechanical engineering and robotics mechatronics?+

Yes. Our engineering studio integrates mechanical structural architecture with mechatronic systems, including motor controllers, sensor packaging (LiDAR, cameras, encoders), wiring harnesses, microcontrollers (STM32/ESP32), and ROS 2 autonomy where required.

Can YantriX manufacture the prototype in-house?+

YantriX handles in-house engineering-led rapid prototyping for supported FDM and high-detail SLA polymer requirements from our Surat studio. Specialized manufacturing processes such as sheet metal stamping, CNC metal machining, and injection mold tooling are coordinated through external manufacturing partners where required.

How are confidential projects and intellectual property handled?+

Confidential engagements can proceed under an agreed mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before sensitive CAD files, drawings, or proprietary requirements are exchanged. All CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and intellectual property developed under the agreed scope belong entirely to the client upon milestone completion.

What files and information should we provide to get started?+

To begin an engineering review, a brief description of the product objective, operating environment, known constraints, target timeline, and any existing CAD (STEP/IGES), 2D sketches, or prototype photos are helpful. We will review the technical scope and determine the appropriate next step.

Do you work with international clients remotely?+

Yes. YantriX is based in Surat, Gujarat, India and regularly collaborates with hardware startups, CTOs, and engineering teams across the United States, Europe, UAE, and India through documented requirements, scheduled 3D model reviews, and direct technical communication with our lead engineers.

How are product-development projects quoted?+

Engagements are scoped based on technical complexity, development stage, responsibilities, required deliverables, and timeline. Depending on project needs, work is structured as a defined-scope engineering package, milestone-based development phase, or ongoing engineering workstream.
